I am honored to be included on the ballot for the Region 6 Chapter Coordinator position. Since joining Sigma in 2006, I have deeply valued the service and leadership opportunities provided by our local and regional chapters. These experiences have enriched my professional growth through education, mentorship, and meaningful connection.
Throughout my membership, I have proudly served on the boards of both chapters where I hold membership-as Leadership Succession Chair and Committee Member, Chapter President, and Delegate. Most recently, I contributed to the Region 6 Conference Planning Committee, a role that deepened my appreciation for Sigma's international reach and the power of regional collaboration. These opportunities have reaffirmed my commitment to service and inspired me to continue supporting our chapters across Region 6.
My professional journey has been grounded in advancing nursing through education, leadership, and mentorship. With over a decade of experience in higher education, I've had the privilege of guiding future nurses and working alongside colleagues to elevate academic and clinical excellence. These efforts have strengthened my belief in the transformative impact of professional organizations like Sigma, whose mission aligns with my core values.
If elected Chapter Coordinator, I will prioritize a collaborative, responsive approach to supporting chapter leaders. I recognize the ongoing challenge of member engagement, especially as individuals navigate various roles in academia and clinical practice. I believe we can strengthen connection by promoting each chapter's achievements and initiatives across our region to encourage re-engagement.
I will maintain consistent communication with chapter leaders, share essential Sigma updates, and promote resources that foster chapter success. I plan to actively use the Regional Officer Connect site on The Circle and contribute to the Leader Lines newsletter to keep our Region 6 community informed and inspired.
Additionally, I intend to host regular virtual meetings to facilitate dialogue, exchange best practices, and spotlight innovative chapter programs. Celebrating chapter accomplishments is essential to building morale and sustaining momentum. I also propose inviting guest presenters from our chapters—many of whom are engaged in exciting research, educational innovations, and leadership initiatives—to share their work and spark further collaboration.
Together, we will foster a vibrant, inclusive regional network-one that uplifts emerging leaders, celebrates excellence, and promotes meaningful connection.
Thank you for your support.
