I have been a nurse since 2010, beginning my journey with an associate degree, earning my BSN in 2016, and my MSN in Nursing Informatics in 2025. My clinical experience spans oncology, stroke, rehabilitation, intermediate care, hospice and surgery. Today, I serve as an informatics nurse, supporting perioperative areas and the anesthesia department merging my clinical knowledge with technology to improve workflows and patient outcomes.
A proud Sigma member since 2016, I’ve been actively engaged in my chapters, serving in leadership roles such as Governance Chair, Leadership Succession Committee member, Membership Involvement Chair, and Technology Director. I’ve also been honored with recognition for my support to Sigma Regional Coordinators in the last biennium. Throughout my Sigma journey, I’ve benefited from mentorship by outstanding nurse leaders, and I’m committed to giving back by sharing my experience and supporting others in their leadership development.
If re-elected Regional Coordinator, my goal is to foster collaboration and networking across our region. I plan to continue to strengthen our communication, create online platforms that allow leaders and members to connect, exchange ideas, and build lasting professional relationships. I truly believe we are stronger together, and by leveraging both technology and in-person opportunities, we can enhance engagement and drive the mission and vision of Sigma forward.
Community service and philanthropy are core to who I am. I am passionate about organizing volunteer initiatives and developing projects that address healthcare disparities and support underserved populations. One initiative I helped lead was a collaboration between my chapter and a halfway house for women transitioning from incarceration. Each month, our members meet with the residents to discuss health topics they choose—an incredibly meaningful and empowering experience for all involved. I would love to assist regional chapters in brainstorming, planning, and conducting similar service-oriented projects.
Additionally, I bring technical skills to support chapter operations. I have extensive experience managing chapter websites, social media, newsletters, and Sigma’s online chapter management tools. I am always happy to assist chapters with any technical or administrative challenges and will serve as a resourceful liaison with Sigma staff to help resolve issues efficiently.
Thank you for taking the time to read my statement. I am deeply passionate about Sigma’s values and am committed to helping our region thrive through collaboration, service, and innovation. I would be honored to have your vote to serve as your next Regional Coordinator.
