Krystal Davis

Regional Coordinator (RC) - North America, Region 3

Krystal Davis

Ed.D, MSN, RN, CHSE

As a dedicated nurse educator and servant leader, I am honored to seek continued service within Sigma Theta Tau International. With over 15 years of experience in nursing education and leadership, I bring a deep commitment to advancing excellence in nursing scholarship, leadership, and service, - values that align closely with Sigma's mission.

I currently serve as an Assistant Professor and Interim Simulation Director at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) College of Nursing. My academic background includes an Ed.D. in Nursing Education Leadership, an MSN in Nursing Education, and national certification as a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE). My work focuses on immersive virtual reality (IVR) simulation, and student-centered innovation in nursing education.

My leadership within Sigma spans over a decade, including roles as:

  • President (2020-2024) and current Leadership Succession Chair of the Nu Rho Chapter at Large,
  • North America Region 03 Chapter Coordinator (2023-2025),
  • Vice President, Awards Chair, and Webmaster for Nu Rho,
  • and a former member of the Region 3 Communication Committee.

During my current term as North America Region 03 Chapter Coordinator, my team and I developed the first Regional Excellence Award, designed to recognize and celebrate outstanding chapter achievements across the region. This initiative reflects my commitment to fostering recognition, engagement, and collaboration among Sigma members.

If elected, the goals I would have for North America Region 03 include developing a regional conference that fosters networking, leadership development, and scholarly exchange among members. I also aim to provide meaningful support for individual chapters through mentorship, resource sharing, and collaborative initiatives that strengthen engagement and sustainability.

I am passionate about creating spaces where nurses feel empowered, supported, and inspired to lead. Through Sigma, I have found a professional home that nurtures these ideals, and I am committed to giving back through continued service and visionary leadership.

Thank you for considering my candidacy. I would be honored to continue advancing Sigma's mission and supporting our members in achieving their highest potential.
