As a dedicated member of Sigma, I am honored to be considered for the role of Regional Coordinator-North America Region 1. With over 20 years of experience as a registered nurse-primarily in emergency medicine, more than a decade in academia, over six years of service as a vice-chair on a school board experience, and experience as a business owner, I bring a broad and diverse background in clinical practice, education, leadership, and administration.
Currently, I am the Director of the Vander Werff BSN Program/Associate Professor Nursing at the University of Providence in Great Falls, Montana. In this role, I am privileged to lead and mentor the next generation of nursing professionals.
My involvement with Sigma has been both extensive and deeply rewarding. I have served as President-Elect and President of the Zet Upsilon-at-Large Chapter, and as a Delegate for the 45th Biennial Convention in Washington D.C. in 2019. Notably, I played a key role in amending our chapter’s bylaws to incorporate an additional college of nursing in Montana, thereby expanding our chapter’s reach and strengthened our collective voice.
I am passionate about advancing the values of Sigma through collaborative leadership, strategic growth, and meaningful engagement with members across regionally and globally. I am highly motivated, organized, and bring an energetic and enthusiastic spirit to every role I take on. I would be honored to serve as Regional Coordinator-North America Region 1, and to contribute to the continued success and impact of Sigma Nursing.
