My professional journey includes serving as an Assistant Professor at Adelphi University since August 2020, where I actively contribute to nursing education. Clinically, I have been a Registered Nurse in the Electrophysiology Department at Weill Cornell - New York Presbyterian Hospital since August 2018, following prior roles in Medical Intensive Care and Medical/Surgical Cardiac Telemetry. I have also taught at Eugene Maria de Hostos Community College CUNY and Le Moyne College.

My extensive leadership experience spans academic, professional, and community service:

I am the Pre-College Nursing Program Director (Fall 2022 – Spring 2025) and Co-Course Coordinator for Adult Health I (August 2022 – Spring 2025). I currently serve as President of the CNPH Honor Society of Nursing Alpha Omega Chapter and Co-Chair of the CNPH DEI Council- Activities and Events Task Force, where I've moderated discussions on racism and cultural humility in healthcare education.

  • Mentorship: I actively mentor and precept graduate and undergraduate students, including dissertation proposal reviews for doctoral candidates and committee chair for honors students.

My scholarly contributions include published book chapters on health care education and refereed journal articles on "Caring" and "Trust" in nursing, often using Watson's theoretical perspective. I have received recognition as a New York Academy of Medicine Fellow (August 2024) and multiple faculty development and research grants.

If elected to the Leadership Succession Committee, I will leverage my extensive background to cultivate, identify, and prepare exceptional nursing leaders for our organization. My proven commitment to academic excellence, evidenced by my roles as Co-Chair of the Academic Standards and Undergraduate Coordinating Committees, along with my dedication to mentoring numerous graduate and undergraduate students, directly aligns with the LSC's mission to develop leadership talent. I will apply my experience in fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion to identify a broad and robust pool of nominees, ensuring our leadership reflects the rich tapestry of our profession. My goal is to contribute to a strategic and transparent process that ultimately presents a well-prepared and diverse ballot, securing a strong and adaptive future for our organization's leadership.
