Leadership Succession Committee - Two-Year Term

Gail Griffin

MEd, BSN, RN

As a dedicated nurse leader with a strong history of service to Sigma Theta Tau International, I am honored to be a candidate for the Leadership Succession Committee. My professional journey has been guided by a commitment to advancing nursing leadership, fostering mentorship, and ensuring the continued growth of our organization through thoughtful, inclusive succession planning.

Over the years, I have served as President of the Lambda Chapter at Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan.  I have also had the opportunity to serve as the North America Region Representative and an active volunteer at multiple Biennial Conferences. These roles have given me a broad perspective on the evolving needs of our members and chapters across various regions.

My leadership philosophy centers on collaboration, strategic thinking, and advocacy for professional growth. I bring a deep understanding of organizational dynamics, along with a passion for mentoring and empowering others. As a member of the Leadership Succession Committee, I will work to identify, recruit, and support visionary leaders who are prepared to lead Sigma Theta Tau International into the future.

Now, more than ever, our profession needs bold and innovative leadership. I am committed to upholding the ideals of honor, scholarship, and service that define Sigma, and I am prepared to contribute meaningfully to the selection and support of future leaders. I am eager to bring my experience, energy, and dedication to this role and to continue serving our organization in a way that ensures a strong and sustainable future.
