Volunteering as a moderator is a great way to build professional skills, connect with presenters and attendees, get a behind-the-scenes look at event operations, and make a positive impact on the attendee experience.
Moderator responsibilities include:
- View a brief moderator tutorial video prior to the event.
- Arrive in the session room at least 10 minutes before the start of the session.
- Review required information with presenters.
- Introduce the presenters andonitor the room.
- Complete a short electronic Moderator Report Form for feedback and evaluation of the session.
- Obtain the signatures electronically of each presenter who was present at the session.
- Must have a personal device (phone or tablet) that has capabilities to scan a QR code.
- Check in at the Presenter Ready Room 30 minutes before each concurrent session to receive a room assignment.
- Facilitate the group discussion for the Rapid Presentation Rounds.
