Self-Care, Community Care, and Abundant Professionalism in Nursing Workshop

As a nurse, you face a variety of challenges caring for your patients while also juggling competing priorities in your workplace. And, though you may know better, your personal well-being and that of others can become the last thing you consider.

Join us for a two-hour experiential workshop full of games, playfulness, and reflective conversation to:

    Explore how we celebrate our profession while caring for those around us.
    Examine ways to practice abundantly even in a world that relies too heavily on scarcity mindset.

Participants will understand the differences between and abundant mindset and scarcity mindset, while learning tangible practices that they can bring back to their work environments.

 

Facilitator

Tim Cunningham, DrPH, RN, FAAN began his career as an actor but was inspired by the art of Clown and the healing power of laughter which led him to became an emergency nurse. His work in level 1 trauma centers in the U.S. and humanitarian crises globally inspired him to study the power of compassion and resilience. Following the completion of his doctorate in public health, he became and author, scholar, professor, and then executive leader, prioritizing structural changes in large health systems to heal their teams that their interprofessional teams may better heal their patients.
