Updated course eases the stress of leading medical mission trips

(INDIANAPOLIS) — Nurse faculty are frequently asked to lead a medical mission trip for students, often to a foreign country. Preparing for such a trip involves meticulous planning to meet the needs of the mission-focused population, as well as to ensure that the health and safety of the medical mission participants are met.
Implementing a Nurse Faculty-Led Medical Mission continuing nursing education (CNE) course helps nurse faculty plan, organize, and lead a successful trip. This online course from Sigma provides the necessary knowledge for nurse faculty to confidently plan and lead such a mission.
The course addresses the planning, cultural adaptation, budgeting details, and supply needs for carry out the mission. It features 16 interactive knowledge checks, a budgeting activity, and a downloadable budget template.
