Siriphorn Na nakorn

Because of donations to the leadership fund, Siriphorn Na nakorn, PhD, was able to attend the 36th International Nursing Research Congress in Seattle, Washington. Here's what she had to say:

I graduated with my PhD last year and have since begun my career as an instructor in Thailand. I applied for the Edith Anderson Leadership Education Grant because this conference offers a valuable platform to share my findings, receive feedback, and foster collaborations that will benefit nursing students by integrating new insights into my teaching.

Attending Sigma’s 36th International Nursing Congress was an incredibly enriching experience. It was truly inspiring to connect with nursing professionals and scholars from around the world, all dedicated to advancing nursing leadership, research, and practice. I especially valued the opportunity to learn about innovative approaches to nursing care in different countries and to explore how we can collaborate to improve global health outcomes. The sessions were insightful, and the strong sense of community among attendees was deeply motivating. This experience has strengthened my passion for nursing and reaffirmed my commitment to contributing to the profession at a global level.

The Edith Anderson Leadership Education Grant partially supported my travel and hotel expenses, which was a tremendous help. Traveling from Thailand to attend the conference in Seattle was a long and costly journey, and without this financial support, participating would have been very difficult. The grant made it possible for me to take part in this meaningful global event. While there, I had the opportunity to connect with new friends and nursing professionals from around the world. These international connections have broadened my perspective and inspired future collaboration in global nursing practice.
