If you are an Sigma member, go to The Circle to download the chapter style guide and a JPEG file of the Sigma logo. If you would like a vector image of the logo or crest, complete this form and your request will be reviewed as soon as possible.

If you are not an Sigma member and would like to request use of Sigma's official logo, contact marketing@sigmanursing.org. In your email, provide detailed information regarding your intended use. Permission to use the logo or crest is granted on a case-by-case basis, and reasonable notice should be given. Approvals are for one-time use only.

Sigma to Present at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women

INDIANAPOLIS — Sigma will present the program Women as Subjects, Consumers, and Thought Leaders of Media parallel to the 62nd session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW62) on Monday, 12 March 2018. The event, to convene at 4:30 p.m. (1630), will be held in the Blue Room, located at 4 W 43rd, New York, NY, USA.

About the Sigma presented program

Presenters to cover access to media and the responsibilities incumbent upon media consumers to help prevent belief in and proliferation of incorrect information. By demonstrating Sigma’s social media thought leadership, attendees will be encouraged to participate in and help shape the perception of women in social media.

The Woodhull Study on Nursing and the Media, commissioned by Sigma, published in 1998, and currently in revision, will also be reviewed. Presenters will review and provide examples of different media including:

  • Traditional mass media (television, radio, cable, newspapers)
  • Electronic media (web-based news sites)
  • Social media (web-based platforms for interaction and networking)
