Nurses invited to join Sigma’s eighth Global Advocacy Virtual Mini Academy cohort

Sigma Nursing is proud to announce the launch of the eighth cohort of its Virtual Mini Academy: Global Advocacy—a six-week, fully virtual learning experience designed to prepare nurses to lead advocacy efforts locally and globally.

Through interactive sessions and expert-led discussions, participants will strengthen their advocacy skills, explore Sigma’s consultative status with the United Nations, and examine the nursing profession’s role in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Participants leave equipped to influence health policy, advance health equity, and elevate the voice of nursing worldwide.

They will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn directly from former UN representatives
  • Develop strategies to educate the public on nursing’s impact on health outcomes
  • Collaborate with global peers on health initiatives
  • Examine pressing global health challenges
  • Explore the interconnectedness of communities and care delivery
  • Create and present an Advocacy Action Plan for real-world implementation

Nurses are essential drivers of global health progress. This academy is designed to help participants unlock their advocacy potential and translate passion into meaningful action.

Applications for the Global Advocacy Virtual Mini Academy are now open and will close on 22 April. Sigma members receive a discounted participation fee of US $50.
