Congress 2024 In-Person Moderators

25-28 July 2024

In-person moderator responsibilities include:

  • View brief moderator tutorial video prior to selected session.
  • Arrive in the session room at least 10 minutes before the start of the session.
  • Review required information with presenters.
  • Welcome attendees and begin the session on time. Monitor the room during the session.
  • Facilitate the question-and-answer portion of the session between the audience and presenters.
  • Complete a short electronic Moderator Report Form for feedback and evaluation of the session and obtain electronic signatures of each presenter who was present at the session.
  • Must have a personal device (phone or tablet) that has capabilities to scan a QR code.
  • Must be able to complete and sign an electronic form independently.
  • Moderators must be a paid registered event attendee to volunteer.

Individuals will be limited to three (3) sessions to moderate.

No special accommodations, discounts, or considerations regarding registration fees, travel expenses, or lodging are available for moderators.


Congress 2024 Poster Setup Volunteer

Session One Setup: 25 July 2024 11:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m. (1145-1215)
Session Two Setup: 27 July 2024 8:00-8:30 a.m. (0800-0830)

Poster setup volunteers will assist presenters in locating their correct numbered poster panel and provide materials to adhere posters if needed. Each panel has enough room for one poster allowing for prime viewing by attendees.

Poster setup volunteer responsibilities include:

  • Having a helpful and pleasant demeanor, as this position interacts with a variety of attendees from around the globe.
  • Ability to multitask and address large groups of people.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift 10 or more pounds.
  • Be present the entire setup time.
  • Must be a paid registered attendee to volunteer.

Sigma staff will walk through the process prior to the shift and a layout of the poster area will be provided. To be able to provide extra support it is recommended to review your event materials, daily schedule, and program book as attendees may have additional questions about other event areas.

There are two poster setups for this event.

The moderator opportunity will be open until 12 June 2024 and the poster setup opportunities will be open until 19 June 2024.
