Build your resume and help advance nursing by taking free leadership and nursing courses

We are not currently accepting applications for the Nurse Empowerment Program, and we anticipate the next cohort will begin in early 2022. Please email margieb@sigmanursing.org and we will notify you when applications are open.

As an early career nurse, we know you've got a lot on your plate. That's why we're extending the application deadline for the Nurse Empowerment Program. This gives you some extra time to learn more about the program and to apply for this impactful experience.

As nurses, we understand that patient care is of utmost importance. While it’s vital to stay up to date on the latest trends and evidence, it’s also important to grow our personal development skills. Developing these skills help us prepare for difficult situations, collaborate with our peers, and ultimately advocate for change in the workplace.

At Sigma, we believe you can be a leader at any stage of your career, regardless if you’re in a formal leadership role or not. Through a partnership study with Johnson & Johnson Foundation, Sigma is looking for frontline nurses with up to 10 years of experience to take up to 9 LinkedIn Learning leadership and management skills courses. The results of this study will help us better understand the value, relevance, and effectiveness of these courses in helping prepare nurses in their careers.

Participants will also receive complimentary nursing and healthcare focused content from Sigma (online courses and/or e-book discussion) to accompany the LinkedIn Learning courses. Some of this content will be eligible for nursing continuing professional development (CPD) contact hours. (Note: The LinkedIn Learning courses will not be eligible for CPD credit.)
