INDIANAPOLIS—Evidence-based practice is more important than ever in today’s healthcare landscape. Johns Hopkins Evidence-Based Practice for Nurses and Healthcare Professionals has been a staple, foundational text for evidence-based practice. In this fifth edition, published by Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (Sigma), authors Kim Bissett, Judith Ascenzi, and Madeleine Whalen have refined the EBP process to make it more user-friendly and adaptable.
Organized with the streamlined practice question, evidence, translation (PET) process, this new edition focuses on practical application and real-world solutions that save nurses and healthcare professionals time and energy while also supporting efforts
to improve patient care and outcomes. New to this edition, faculty and clinical practitioners will find chapters on interprofessional teams and real-world implementation; exemplars showcasing the JHEBP model in action; emerging issues such as
artificial intelligence; and more.
