Nurse Empowerment Program Deadline Extended to 12 April

Due to overwhelming response, Sigma has extended the deadline to apply for its Nurse Empowerment Program.

Developed in partnership with The Johnson & Johnson Foundation to help frontline nurses with 10 years’ or less experience grow their leadership skills, Sigma’s Nurse Empowerment Program includes free access to a combination of LinkedIn Learning and Sigma-created courses eligible for nursing continuing professional development (CPD). The program aims to help participants prepare for difficult situations, collaborate with peers, and advocate for change in the workplace. An earlier pilot of the program was featured in the LinkedIn Learning 2021 Workplace Learning Report.

Individual courses address the following eight competencies:

  • Leadership development
  • Effective communication skills
  • Dealing with conflict
  • Healthy work environments
  • Diversity
  • Change management
  • Team science
  • Resilience

The Nurse Empowerment Program is open to frontline nurses in the United States and Canada, with particular interest in nurses who represent minority groups. Participation in Sigma’s LinkedIn Learning and CPD courses is free of charge to all registered participants.

Applications are due on 12 April and the Nurse Empowerment Program begins this month. Registration is required to receive free access to the LinkedIn Learning and other courses.
