The Heritage Society is a wonderful opportunity that allows individuals to invest in nursing through the Sigma Foundation for Nursing. Your donation will be preserved while your gift’s earnings enable the Foundation to provide grants and programs for nurses who advance world health. Most importantly, you decide how your gift will benefit nurses — through use of global programs, leadership education, or research grants.

Virginia Henderson Fellow
Established to honor the beloved and esteemed Virginia Avenel Henderson (1897-1996), the Virginia Henderson Fellowship has been a favorite giving program for hundreds of Sigma members and friends of nursing. To become a Virginia Henderson Fellow, pledge US $2,000 annually for five consecutive years, payable on a schedule that meets your needs, or make a one-time cash donation of US $10,000.
Sigma Theta Tau Fellow
To become a Sigma Theta Tau Fellow, pledge US $4,000 annually for five consecutive years, payable on a schedule that meets your needs, or make a one-time cash gift of US $20,000.
Billye Brown Fellow
In appreciation of past Sigma President Dr. Billye Brown’s efforts to support and sustain the organization’s future, individuals who register planned gifts valued at US $50,000 are recognized at this level. Up to 10 percent of the gift may be designated for one or more chapters.
Philanthropic Caring Society
To be become a member of the Philanthropic Caring Society, pledge US $10,000 a year for five consecutive years or make a one-time cash donation of US $50,000.
Pillar Society
Cumulative cash gifts and irrevocable planned gifts (at present value) totaling US $100,000 or more are recognized at this level. This distinction may also be bestowed upon donors posthumously
