International Nurses Day - 12 May 2017

Making a difference to nurses around the world through philanthropy.

Our donors are helping advance nursing and patient care globally by providing vital funding for research, leadership development, and emerging global initiatives. We invite you to join them and be recognized as an International Nurses Day donor with a gift of US $60 or more.

Your gift to leadership will support members like Jordan, who received a grant to attend the International Nursing Research Congress in Cape Town to expand his professional network and share his work caring for the elderly in the Philippines. “Without the grant, I could not possibly have presented my paper; learned the latest trends, issues, and updates in health care delivery system; and met diverse nursing professionals from around the globe. This opportunity opened a lot of doors for my personal and professional development.”

You can choose to support research grants for members like Laura, who received support to conduct research to improve quality of life and decrease mortality for patients affected by HIV and hepatitis C (HCV). “The HIV primary care setting provides an ideal opportunity to intervene to improve the HCV care continuum, improve quality of life and symptom burden, and decrease avoidable mortality in the millions of individuals affected by HIV and HCV.”

You can also make your donation to future to support health care providers like Scovia and Mary Grace, who are improving global health through their participation in the Maternal-Child Health Nurse Leadership Academy Africa. Scovia is mentoring Mary Grace to develop leadership skills as part of her project to improve care for children admitted to the acute care area of the Mulago Hospital in Uganda.

To be counted as a 2017 International Nurses Day donor and to help more nurses like Jordan, Laura, Mary Grace, and Scovia, make your donation of US $60 by 12 May 2017.
