If you are an Sigma member, go to The Circle to download the chapter style guide and a JPEG file of the Sigma logo. If you would like a vector image of the logo or crest, complete the form included in the style guide and your request will be reviewed as soon as possible.

If you are not an Sigma member and would like to request use of Sigma's official logo, contact marketing@sigmanursing.org. In your email, provide detailed information regarding your intended use. Permission to use the logo or crest is granted on a case-by-case basis, and reasonable notice should be given. Approvals are for one-time use only.

Sigma releases updated version of online program for new nurses

Surviving Your First Years as a Nurse offers practical tips and techniques that go beyond the nursing school curriculum

INDIANAPOLIS — Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (Sigma) has updated and enhanced its Surviving Your First Years as a Nurse online continuing nursing education (CNE) program to support nurses in their first few years working in a clinical setting. Provided free for Sigma members, this six-course program offers practical tips and techniques that go beyond the nursing school curriculum, with knowledge checks to keep you engaged and on track along the way.

Participants will learn how to minimize legal risks, manage relationships with patients and co-workers, foster professional growth, and utilize social media with this program that covers issues relevant to today’s nurse. Courses include:

- Legal Risks as a Nurse

- Dealing With Disruptive Patients and Families

- Advancing Your Nursing Career

- Social Media for Healthcare Providers

- Bullying in the Workplace: Solutions for Nursing Practice
