Sigma Foundation for Nursing Scholarships

NEW! RN to BSN Scholarship

The scholarship is available for diploma or associate degree prepared nurses enrolled in an accredited nursing school program with a Sigma chapter. Eligible applicants must be pursuing a bachelor's or higher degree in nursing and rank in the top 35% of their nursing class. The scholarship provides up to US$5,000 per year. (Membership in Sigma is not required but encouraged when eligible to receive an invitation from the chapter.)

Submission Requirements

• Most recent transcript from diploma or associate degree or school of nursing and proof of acceptance for the academic year that the scholarship is to be used from an accredited school of nursing.
• Bio sketch
• Essay outlining career goals, professional affiliations, and community service (maximum one page)
• At least two letters of support

This scholarship is funded by the Sigma Foundation for Nursing’s Karen A. Stiefel Harrison Scholarship Fund.

Helene Fuld Trust Scholarship 

Eligible students must be enrolled in either an Accelerated Second Degree (first degree cannot be in nursing) or Doctor of Nursing Practice program at an accredited US school of nursing. Funding is up to US $5,000 per academic year.

This scholarship is made possible through a grant from the Helene Fuld Health Trust to the Sigma Foundation for Nursing. 

Dion Family Scholarship 

The scholarship is for baccalaureate prepared nurses enrolled in an accredited program pursuing an advanced degree in nursing informatics or gerontological nursing. Funding is up to US$5,000 annually.

This scholarship is funded by the Sigma Foundation for Nursing’s Dion Family Permanent Fund.
