What is the Nursing Now Challenge?

Sigma is proud to introduce the latest iteration of the Nursing Now Challenge, a game-changing global initiative with a profound impact on the nursing and midwifery professions. This program adopts updated curriculum, firmly anchored in the evidence-based framework known as the Global Nursing Leadership Competency Framework.

This 12-month program is specifically designed for early-career nurses, providing them with the skills, knowledge, and global network they need to thrive in their roles, reshape their careers, or find an exciting new opportunities within healthcare systems.

Enrollment Fees:

  • There is no cost to participate in this program. It is free for Sigma members! Sigma membership must be maintained during the entire program.

Optional Opportunity:

  • As part of this program you may have the opportunity to attend an event at the United Nations in New York City, New York, USA. Participants will be responsible for all travel expenses, including but not limited to airfare, hotel, and dining expenses.

This program welcomes all Sigma members and tailors its educational content to early-career nurses. If you're eager to enhance your leadership abilities within your nursing practice, this opportunity is perfect for you.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage in a series of eight enlightening webinars delving into key subjects like:

  1. Mentorship: Discover the power of mentorship and how it can fuel your professional growth.

  2. Personal Branding and Professional Identity: Learn the art of personal branding and shaping a strong professional identity to stand out in your career.

  3. Global Leadership in a Diverse World: Explore the nuances of global leadership in a diverse world, gaining insights on navigating cross-cultural challenges effectively.

In addition to these webinars, participants will gain exclusive access to a handpicked selection of Sigma's online Nursing Continuing Professional Development (NCPD) programs.

Will I get to go to the United Nations?

As a Nursing Now Challenge scholar, you may have the opportunity to visit the Day at the United Nations in New York City, New York, USA.

Will Sigma pay for me to go to UN?

No. All travel, lodging, and meal expenses will be the responsibility of the scholar.

Is a mentor required for the Nursing Now Challenge?

You will have the opportunity to match with a Sigma mentor as part of your participation in this challenge.

Will Sigma find a mentor for me?

Yes. Sigma will assist you in your search with a mentor.
