Sigma selects new United Nations Liaison

INDIANAPOLIS – Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (Sigma) is pleased to announce that Janice E. Hawkins, PhD, RN, has be selected to join Sigma's team of distinguished United Nations (UN) liaisons.

With a passion for Sigma and promoting the organization’s mission and global initiatives, Janice brings a robust background of commitment, service, and expertise to this role. She is an energetic and innovative-thinking addition to the team of Sigma UN liaisons and representatives.

The position supports Sigma’s engagement at the highest levels of global collaboration, educates world leaders about Sigma, and promotes the value of nursing leadership by attending and/or participating in various UN events, programs, and activities. Additionally, the position requires gathering information to inform and advise Sigma’s global initiatives department, with the goal of fulfilling Sigma’s mission and vision.
