This is a two-part event for chapter and nursing leaders. To maximize your leadership development experience, you are encouraged to attend both parts of this event.

Registration Information

General Information

  • Leadership Connection fees include official programmed events and access to the exhibitors.
  • The student discount applies only to full-time students. Student identification or proof of enrollment will be requested when you check in at on-site registration.
  • The retired discount applies to those who are no longer employed.
  • Nonmembers of Sigma may register for the event at nonmember rates.
  • The member rate applies only to active Sigma members who paid membership dues for the 2017-2018 year.
  • To qualify for the discounted rates, full payment must be received by the applicable registration deadline.
  • Inactive members who renew their membership can register at the discounted member rate (a value of up to US $100). If you have a question, please contact us at
  • When completing your registration form, the name you put into the system will be exactly how your name badge will be printed (e.g., first/given name as it would appear on your name badge and last/family name[s]). Please review this information carefully. If you request changes by the standard registration deadline, Sigma will guarantee those changes.
  • Due to space limitations on the name badges, credentials will not be listed.

On-Site Payments

  • Should you choose to pay at on-site registration, you will be charged the applicable on-site rates.
  • All registrations and payments processed on-site will include a US $25 payment processing fee.


  • All cancellations must be received in writing (letter or email).
  • If you are unable to attend, you may make a one-time substitution to another person at no additional charge.
  • The cancellation of a prepaid registration received electronically before Wednesday, 15 August 2018 will be refunded minus a US $75 administrative fee.
  • Cancellation of a prepaid registration received through the mail must be postmarked before Wednesday, 15 August 2018 to be refunded minus the US $75 administrative fee as listed above.
  • No prepaid registration refunds will be issued for cancellations that are received or postmarked Thursday, 16 August 2018 or after.
  • No prepaid registration refunds will be issued for cancellations that are received or postmarked Thursday, 16 August 2018 or after.
  • If a cancellation request is received or postmarked Thursday, 16 August 2018 or after for a registration that was not prepaid, an invoice will be issued and due for the full registration fee.

Visa Letter Requests

If you need a letter confirming your event registration to help facilitate your efforts in obtaining a visa, we can provide it once you have registered for Leadership Connection and the payment has been processed.

Your request will be processed within 10 business days. Requests for confirmation letters must be submitted by Wednesday, 15 August 2018. Requests for mailed letters will be reviewed, and additional fees will apply.

The confirmation letter does not guarantee that you will receive a visa. Confirmation letters will include only the event title, dates, location, payment confirmation of registration fees, and the fact that you are a presenter, if applicable.

If you are denied a visa, we will provide you with a full registration refund as long as we are notified by Wednesday, 22 August 2018. No refunds will be issued past this date. Attendees are advised to apply for visas as early as possible.

Participants Requiring a Company-Stamped Confirmation

For participants from countries that require Sigma’s ink stamp, please provide a copy of your registration confirmation to any staff member at on-site registration.
