Dr. Dent is a hospital nurse executive and academician with a career that spans more than 30 years in hospitals, long-term care and academia. He’s combined his expertise in nursing and leadership to influence nurses, interprofessional colleagues, and healthcare leaders in the U.S. and globally related to culture, improving workplace environments, and nurse staffing. He is the recipient of multiple awards most recently receiving the 2016 Richard Header Visionary Leader Award.

Prior to joining WSU in August 2014, Dr. Bibb served as Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and Department Chair in the Daniel K. Inouye, Graduate School of Nursing (GSN) at the Uniformed Services University. Before joining the GSN, she served in the United States Navy as an active duty nurse and retired at the rank of Captain in 2004.

Following a successful clinical career as a nurse leader, Dr. Rosser has pursued a career in nursing and healthcare education for over 34 years. She spent 6 years leading a small bush hospital in Colombia, South America, and a collaborative research project for over 5 years in NE Brazil, resulting in her interest in international and cultural care. Her research is more widely focused on developing the nursing workforce. She is also a member of the board of directors for Sigma.


Howard Catton

Mr. Catton qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1988 and held different nursing posts in England and the United States. He studied social policy in Cardiff (BSc Econ) and Industrial Relations at Warwick (MA) and has worked as a Personnel and Organisational Change Manager in the NHS. From 2005-2015, Mr. Catton was the Head of Policy & International Affairs at the RCN. In April 2016, he was appointed Director, Nursing & Health Policy of ICN.

With two decades of experience in the nursing profession, Dr. Pettit brings a high level of understanding of the challenges healthcare organizations face in providing safe, high-quality care while remaining effective and efficient in service. A transformational leader and valued executive leader, she accelerates organizational improvements. She has been integral in the journeys of excellence her organization has taken to become a three-time Magnet-designated hospital and a recipient of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.
