Moving Sigma Forward: Leading Together September 2026

Published on 31 August 2026

This month marked an important moment for Sigma Nursing as we launched the redesigned SigmaNursing.org and introduced the next evolution of our visual identity. While the changes are immediately visible, what they represent is much larger. They represent the work underway to build a Sigma Nursing that is more accessible, more connected, and increasingly centered on the needs and experiences of the nurses and members we serve around the world.

At the heart of this work is something we believe deeply: listening matters most when it leads to action.

More than 1,400 members took the time to participate in our recent brand survey, and what you shared was both affirming and instructive. We heard clearly that you take tremendous pride in being part of Sigma Nursing and trust in this organization deeply. We also heard that your experience of engaging with Sigma did not always reflect the value you see in belonging to it, particularly when it came to finding information, navigating our website, and discovering the resources available to you.

Your feedback mattered. It helped us better understand the gap between the strength of the Sigma Nursing community and the experience we were providing. It reinforced our responsibility to do better, and the redesigned SigmaNursing.org is one of the first tangible ways you can see us responding to what we heard.

The new site offers simpler navigation, easier ways to discover resources and opportunities, and a redesigned Contact Us experience designed to provide more streamlined and personalized support. It is also now available in more than 100 languages, helping make Sigma Nursing more accessible to the truly global nursing community we are privileged to serve. Our name, logo, and signature purple remain, while our visual identity is evolving to better capture the energy, relevance, and future of Sigma Nursing.

These improvements are important, but we also recognize that a website alone does not transform your member experience. The work happening behind it matters just as much.

Through Sigma Forward, we have committed to aligning our systems, talent, and resources around our members’ needs and the future of nursing. Modernizing SigmaNursing.org is one visible expression of that commitment, alongside broader work underway to strengthen the infrastructure and technology that support your experience. As that work continues, the services you currently rely on, including member login, renewal, and The Circle, remain available while we thoughtfully build toward what comes next.

That is why we view this launch not as a destination, but as an important milestone in a much larger journey. It is one of the first in a series of changes rooted in a simple principle: Sigma Nursing should be built around the people we serve.

For us, member-centricity is more than an aspiration. It means listening before deciding, making it easier to engage with Sigma Nursing, and continually asking how we can create greater value, stronger connections, and more meaningful opportunities throughout every stage of a nurse’s career. It also means being willing to evolve while remaining deeply grounded in the legacy, values, and community that have made Sigma Nursing extraordinary for more than a century.

None of this work happens without partnership. We are grateful to every member who completed a survey, shared an idea, identified a frustration, or challenged us to think differently. Your feedback did not just inform this work. It helped shape it, and we hope you can see your voice come through in what we created.

We are equally grateful to our colleagues across #TeamSigma who brought this vision to life through months of content development, design, technology, testing, problem-solving, and collaboration. The new website reflects the contributions of people throughout the organization and the partnership between members, volunteers, and staff that continues to move Sigma forward. In many ways, it is a fitting expression of this biennium’s call to action, Lead Together, and a reminder that our greatest progress has always been possible when we bring this community’s strength together around a shared purpose.

We hope you will spend some time exploring the new SigmaNursing.org, discovering what has changed, and continuing to tell us what is working and where we can be better. The same spirit of listening that helped shape this launch will remain essential as we continue the work ahead.

There is much more to come. As we look toward Sigma’s future, we are committed to building an organization that is easier to engage with, responsive to members, more connected across borders, and prepared to serve nurses and advance nursing for generations to come. This website is one step in that journey, and we are excited about where we are headed together.

Thank you for your trust, your engagement, and all that you do, in ways both visible and unseen, to strengthen Sigma Nursing and the nursing profession around the world.

With gratitude,
