- [Pharmacology Review: The Drugs That Go Wrong and What You Do First](https://www.sigmanursing.org/webinars/pharmacology-review-the-drugs-that-go-wrong-and-what-you-do-first): You've memorized the side effects. Then an exam question gives you a patient on clozapine who has a sore throat and asks what you do first. The list doesn't help. Pharm questions rarely ask what a drug does. They ask what's going wrong with this patient and what you're going to do about it. In one 90-minute session, we'll go deep on four areas: drug toxicities, psych medications, insulin and DKA, and blood pressure drugs. Then we'll take a 60-second pass through each of five more: anticoagulants, chest pain, opioids, asthma, and IV fluids. We'll start with ten questions before we teach anything. The score is for you, not us. By the end, you'll know why you missed the ones you missed and what to look for next time. Bring something to write with. In partnership with Lecturio.

You put in the hours. You knew it cold the night before. Then the exam asked something you didn't expect, and it wouldn't come. At the end of the session, you’ll have a system for remembering what fails, what you'd see, what proves it, and what you do first that you can use on any exam. One diagnosis, four columns, one page, and we’ll walk through it together live. Then you can take what we learned together and use this system on any diagnosis in nursing school all by yourself.
