Nelma Shearer, PhD, MEd, MSN, BSN, RN, FAAN
Dr. Shearer is an American Nurse Foundation Scholar and a John A. Hartford Foundation Institute of Geriatric Nursing Research Scholar. In 2006 she received the Geriatric Nursing Research award from the Western Institute of Nursing. As a nationally recognized leader in Gerontological nursing, Dr. Shearer has inspired change in healthcare delivery for older adults. Particularly focusing on engaging older adults as active participants in identifying and working toward the attainment of personally relevant health goals. Her research has been disseminated through peer reviewed books and manuscripts with clear implications for advancing nursing knowledge and leadership.
Deborah Cleeter, EdD, MSN
With over 40 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Dr. Cleeter has achieved success in practice, administration, academia, and consultancy. She has held positions as a clinical nurse specialist, director of nursing, university faculty member, administrator, consultant, and currently is CEO of Sawgrass Leadership Institute. Her extensive knowledge and executive experience provide the foundation for her work as an executive coach, master facilitator, and consultant in the areas of strategic planning, futuring and innovation, guided decision making, executive leadership development, executive team building, and complex organizational consultation.
