Healthy Work Environments I: Discussions From the Bedside to Academia
Dr. Beth Ulrich will lead a distinguished panel of nurses in a discussion about ways to build, develop, and ultimately maintain a healthy work environment. This panel will include nurse leaders from the clinical area and the academic world. The discussion will be centered around the commonalities that exist between each area and ways to work together to combat incivility.
About the Speaker:
Dr. Beth Ulrich is Senior Partner of Innovative Health Resources, Professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Nursing, and Editor of Nephrology Nursing Journal, the professional journal of the American Nephrology Nurses’ Association. Dr. Ulrich has been a co-investigator on a series of national nursing workforce and work environment studies and three studies of critical care nurse work environments conducted with the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. She is the author of Mastering Precepting: A Nurse’s Handbook for Success and a co-author of Mastering Simulation: A Handbook for Success.
